Heys, recently I've been feeling extremly healthy (last week up until yesterday pretty much) which seemed to be a result of some light exercise i've been doing lately (weights mainly) and I started having a probiotic yoghurt drink thingy everyday after seeing them recommended on here. Then suddenly when i wake up yesterday I've got a pain down the right hand side of my abdomen.

Normally if i have any sort of pain or increase in symptom I know its because I had too much junk food or something the day before but I cant think of anything I've eaten that could have caused it. The strange thing is that everything else seems fine and my crap is coming out pretty solid and everything and I'm going less than I sometimes do (I've been about two or three times a day since this pain started).

Anyways, I'm wondering if anyone can help me work out whats suddenly caused it. I'm a little paranoid that I've got some sort of obstruction but im managing to eat pretty much as normal and I'm still going to the toilet so I'm really hoping its not that.

Oh and the pain does seem to die down at times but then comes back again, at the moment its not too bad but I want to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.

While I never had a great deal of pain, I did have an obstruction. I found out any kind of thick goopy food would pile up behind the obstruction until it either went though or I puked.

The kind of food that would cause is was something like a big cheeseburger where the meat and cheese would just form a wad and stick above my stricture. I did not really understand it at the time because I was not aware of the stricture. Afterwards it made a lot more sense.

Riding in a car also made it worse due to the position. I would even jump up and down, once I was diagnosed, to attempt to force the food through. Usually a fast walk did more good than anything else. The trouble is that it is the last thing you feel like doing at the time.

I guess the point is that even though you may not have eaten any forbidden foods, the texture of it can cause trouble also.

Or, any number of other things. Not an easy disease to figure out.

Well, if everything that goes in one end seems to be coming out the other, at least you aren't blocked or impacted. The latter is definitely something to avoid at all costs

The exercise thingy... any chance the pain is from a pulled muscle? Ever had your appendix taken out? Anyway, I'm guessing. So are you. It may or may not be CD related. Probiotics are beneficial, but they can often increase the level of gas in the GI tract. Have you noticed any changes? Just one more wild assed guess b4 I go

I had a massive crap last night and I feel much better this morning, so im thinking perhaps I was just a bit constipated or something (didn't think that'd ever happen to me with crohn's lol). It didnt feel like a pulled muscle or anything but I could be wrong and since I started taking the probiotics i've had a lot less wind than normal so i dont think it was that.

I guess I'll put it down to the many mysterious of crohn's
