Sun exposure with aza?

I'm about to go on aza and was wondering about sun exposure. I keep seeing people refer to problems but nobody really specifies what the problem is. Blistering? Peeling? Rash? Easily sunburned??

I tan easily so this may not be an issue for me but I'm curious. Thanks!

Hi there,
I have been on Aza(Imuran) for a month now & was told to try & stay out of the sun to avoid chance of increased skin cancer. I still am out and about on sunny days but I don't go tanning or lay out in the sun for a tan.

Thanks Heidi. I don't lay out or anything anyway so that won't be a problem. I will, of course, talk to my doc about this before I actually begin.

Hi there,
I still am out and about on sunny days but I don't go tanning or lay out in the sun for a tan.

I have also been on Aza for a month - it has hardly stopped raining in the UK since so maybe not a big problem!

Actually I tan easily and love to sit out in the sun (on the 6 days we get each year) so it would be great to hear from people who have been on Aza for some time.

Both of my kids are on Aza. They are fair skinned so follow the usual slip, slop, slap recommendations we have in Oz. Over the years I haven't noticed any increased sensitivity in either of them when they go about their usual activities. My daughter has been on it for nearly 6 years now and my son for 18 months.
