I am having a bad time with crohn's right now. I am looking for some support right now. Is there an one near Washington DC?

I have Crohn's but I live in NY state. feel free to PM me anytime. I can relate.
It's a pain in the butt, seriously.

how long have you had it? I've had mine since I was diagnosed at age 12. I was given an ileostomy at age 17 to save my life. My wound FINALLY healed after 2 yrs. from surgery due to an abdominal abscess that was causing me problems. Then wound would be infected with MRSA one month, then with staph, strep, klepsiella, etc. I was on EVERY antibiotic out there.

It turned out that my body was just trying to reject a suture that was tied off but not to any body part. Once I removed it and showed it to my GI surgeon, he was like, that happens some times. The wound was closing up very fast after that. Just wished it showed up on the CT scan instead of having to go through the infections.

Hang in there. hugs. :)

Thanks for offering your support. we all need that sometimes, I spent the day in ER. Thought I had blood in my stool, it was kinda black, but turms out I don't. I also had a hard time healing after getting a ilyostomy. It took me around 8 months to not have a bandage on the wound, it really sucks.

I'm new to this even though I'm 62 years old. Found out I had crohns at age 61, right after I retired. I'm haing some discomfort right around my scar, don't think it is from the crohns rather from all the scar tissue fom the 3 operation I think. 1 resection, 1 resection went bad and went septic and got a ilyostomy 1 reversal. That operation went well. The first two were from hell.

Being new to all this is hard sometimes, don't know when to go to thw ER or not. I"ve felt like crap for the last 3 months but the last week has been the worst. I have a great GI and am on Imuran and my stools are now normal.

Thanks for your support. Hope to maybe see ya in the chatroom sometime. I'm there most every night about 9pm your time. I'm from California.
