Surgery update

Surgeon just came out to update.

Operated for 2 hr 45 min, found creeping fat and stricture all in one spot, removed 38 cm of distal ileum through 1 1/2 inch incision thru belly button.

Pain team is installing nerve block in abdomen for pain right now which will be fed by catheter. Will wake him and let us in to see him soon.

Will keep you updated as recovery progresses. Thank you all so much for your kind words and advice. You really helped me feel prepared.
