I may have to switch Dr starting Jan 1. I got a letter from my insurance stating that they havent reached an agreement with several hospitals. The hospital my Dr is associated with is one of them. I have an appointment on the 22nd so I will ask the Dr then. I am so scared to find a new Dr and start over.

Good luck with that. I would hate to have to think about that. I love my GI.

I had to find a new GI for a while due to insurance changes, but I'm back with my first GI now.
It's not always a bad thing to find a new doctor but I understand your aprehensions. Good luck and hopefully your insurance will negotiate with your hospital and you can go back to your old GI (if you still want to) soon!

I hate switching Ds. It just takes way to long to break'em in. Some of them are really slow learners for as smart as they are suppose to be. lol

I had to switch a while ago, and I am so happy it happened. My other doctor was fine, but my new one is fantastic...It's good to get a fresh perspective. Even when I was hospitalized, I saw a different doctor. He had different approaches and suggestions that were very helpful....Try to look at it that way...Good luck.

It's happening to me to Becky (at least I think it is - our new insurance company is trying to reassure our employer that the contract will get worked out by the end of the year since we JUST switched to this new carrier). IMP set me straight and I'm trying to think more positively if it does happen. Hope you get a GREAT new doctor that you just love!
