Switch from Humira to Remicade and loading doses

Please has anyone switched from Humira to Remicade, and if so were the docs willing to do loading doses of Remicade even though you had your last Humira shot 2 weeks previous? My husband is steroid dependant, the Humira is not working and they dont want to do loading doses with Remicade. I understand the risks for immunosuppression, but he has so many other issues that I feel like not loading would be making sure that Remicade does not work.

I'm sorry you husband is having such a hard time, the past 3 months have been bad for me also! I have been on Humira for over 2 years and its just not working. This past Friday I had a port put in and I will be starting Remicade this Thursday. My last Humira injection was 2 weeks ago, I am also depended on prednisone. We discussed the risk and desided this would be best! Has his doctor discussed taking mercaptopurine of 6mP along with Remicade to help with the immunosuppressive ? It's worth looking into!

Feeling optimistic.....praying this works! My doctor just started tapering me off the prednisone.
