So I was recently taken off of 100mg of 6MP and switched to Humira. My 15th day dose of Humira is this coming Tuesday so I'm still on the loading doses.

For the past 4 days or so I've been having issues with going to the bathroom where it never feels like I got everything out, like there's just a tiny bit left floating around in my rectum (that's what it feels like anyway). When I do try to push it out (my abdominal muscles have been hurting lately which I think is from all the frequent trips to the bathroom) I just get a tiny bit of gas and see nothing in the bowel. I give myself a wipe just in case and I see there's a little splat which is mainly mucus (today it was all clear with little color from feces, almost like I just blew my nose).

Also in the past 4 days I've had an increase in what I believe is acid reflux where there is some burping but it mainly feels like fluid in my throat and sometimes when I wake up in the morning I have a nasty taste in my mouth like I was swallowing stomach acid all night. This happens sitting, standing and laying down. I've tried some antacids but they don't seem to do much and certainly not for very long (get like 20 min of minor relief).

I know I'm switching from one med to another and that issue may pop up but this sucks. I'm also constantly tired and can't sleep.

I think the Humira will help as it did for like 5 days after my last couple shots since I didn't see any mucus during that time but as my next injection is coming around the corner, I have more symptoms than when I started. I hate switching to new meds. Its been a long time but I remember that I would get sick whenever I stopped a med and tried going towards another. I hope the Humira works cause I don't want a full blown flare after all these years. D: :voodoo:

Anyone else have a lot of problems from switching meds or worse problems?

I never know if I am going to react badly to a medicine - Imuran and I didn't get along I got Acute Pancreatitis within a week. I was just recently taken off Methotrexate as at 15 mg per week my ALT quadrupled making it another medicine I am not supposed to take. So far the Remicade is working and I am not having any issues with it, but am getting nervous as I keep adding to the not-going-to-work ever-for-me catagory.

So HUGS Crabby - hope that it is just minor adjustment bump and not anything else.
