Who is doing it this year and when is your walk? I thought we could share pages here.
Here is mine...

She would like to raise more money than last year. She has had a rough year with her IBD and would love to be able to raise as much money as she can for research. If you do not know about IBD, read up on it a bit. It's a nasty disease that has her feeling crappy (pun intended) almost every day lately.

Cross-stitch gal, she has already beat it! She is going to be very happy when she finds out. I haven't told her yet because I want to show her :)
 
I tried to show her last night, but she was in a rotten mood and refused to look at her page. My daughter was hoping to video tape her reaction. We will try again tonight! lol
 
I'm going to volunteer at the Halton Region Gutsy Walk in Burlington. I'm spent after a one hour walk; any more and I may end up in the hospital. LOL
 
I am not walking, but my mom and my sister are, as well as my moms work and a few neighbors if my mom gets her way.
I wish I could say it was for me. But it really isn't. She didn't start partaking in this until her best friends son was diagnosed with Crohn's and started being an active Crohn's parent. But no matter, she is raising money for a good cause. Someday, there will be a cure and life will be grand.
 
In a few weeks we should make plans to all meet up! I'm going to be walking with the Toronto chapter of Crohns & Colitis and everyone is welcome to join us or we can form our own group from the forum
 
Definitely! I think it'd be a great idea to. I'm assuming the group walking with the chapter is pretty recognizable? I've never actually gone to one of their events before, so I'm pretty excited.
 
BTW.. Devynn made goal!!! Her goal was $1000 and she made it with almost a month to go! So we have upped it to $1200
 
Sorry, I must have missed the earlier remark. The Toronto chapter is pretty new so we haven't figured that out about if we will wear something specific to stand out. We are meeting on Wednesday the 21st for our monthly meeting. Anyone want to come? Its near Yonge & Eglington at 6:30 I think.

D made her goal too, but the school sent the check in directly so I can't get it on her page. :( I have to do the cash donations onto her page too via my credit card so she should have doubled her goal. Next year we are going to set the goal at $1,000 like you Devynssmom! Since she wants to do the fundraiser at her high school next year there are WAY more kids at that school so it could raise so much more!
 
Supportivemom, just saw this now. I haven't been on much lately. Devynn is feeling crappy (no pun intended) most of the time :(
 
Just a few days away!!! Who is coming on the walk in Toronto?? My daughter really is hoping to meet some local kids this year & i'd love to connect.
 
Same thing except different charity. Gutsy walk is the crohns & colitis Canada. Take steps is the crohns & colitis america I think. Same premise. Surprisingly the Canada one has been around longer! I was surprised.
 
One more sleep. I've been doing everything I can to have the energy needed for tomorrow.

For those of you in Toronto, the CN Tower will be red in support of the Gutsy Walk. Wish I could see it.
