Are you keeping a food journal to figure out what is causing the gas? My most recent issue is actually with Vitamin D tablets. Fortunately things are pretty much under control so it isn't too bad occasionally. If you aren't at work, learn to fart proudly. There is some relearning that I had to do, and still have to do. Try to observe differences in the pressure feeling. If you are close enough in case of a leak, try to let a bit out first. If gas it will be easy. If not you should feel it pretty much immediately.
