Here I am again up in the middle of the night feeling nauseated and having pain in my side, can't sleep. I was asleep but pain and nausea woke me up. Feeling bad for last couple of days, but not bad enough to go to ER again. Just not lots of energy, nauseated and pain. Taking Tylenol for pain and have Zofran but haven't taken it yet. I do my Humira injection on Thursday, maybe that will help. I have to go to work in a few hours and need some sleep. This disease is not real good for job. Thank goodness I have a very understanding employer, for now anyway..

Went to doctor couple of weeks ago with same symptoms (pain was a little bit worse), he did CT scan and thank God, no inflmamation. So doctor tells me he thinks I also have IBS along with Crohn's, gave me Xifaxan for 14 days and said to take a probiotic. Finished that, but not a lot of change, pain not quite as bad. Just what I need another intestinal problem!!

Now I am so confused. Is this what my life is going to be now, nauseated, tired, constant pain im my side, some days worst than ever? I am new to this disease and any advice or suggestion would be greatly accepted. I have been keeping a food diary but am not sure how to work with that. I have had this pain in my side for the last three weeks and have had different foods to eat during that time. None seem to make it worse or better.

I guess I now have to learn how to handle IBS, if that this what this is.

I've had crohn's for about 12ish years and I have pretty much always just had good and bad days all of the time. I haven't been in remission yet, so I'm not sure what life is like while in remission!!

There are some people who are in remission and feel great (for the most part) for a long time. I hope for you, that you get to a place where you feel great all of the time!

becls, You say you have zofran, but haven't taken it yet. I think you should take it. I find it very helpful. I have had crohns a long time and it does get easier. If you do have IBS and IBD, that is a tough break. Are you eating a low fiber diet? That is for the IBD. Even with both I would still stick to a low fiber diet unless the doctor tells you differently. I hope you feel better and don't too much Tylenol (hard on the liver).
