There are several people in my life that have made a tremendous impact on my life and with out those people my life would completely different for the negative. The first person I would like to mention is my wife Naomi who was a pillar of support during my health crisis and continues to be my partner and friend. Second is Dr. Lisa who has been a guiding light during the recovery from my health crisis and into my current state of wellbeing. And thirdly Grand Master Sang Yun Lee without his Won Moo Hapkido I would not be able to remain drug free and be as healthy as I have ever been in my life.

I have been working with Dr. Lisa for almost 4 years now and I have to say it has been an amazing experience. When I first connected with Dr. Lisa it was through divine synchronicity. I had been off of work for a few months and I was a complete disaster. My emotional, physical and spiritual well being was severely compromised and I was ready to jump off a cliff. Not knowing what to do next, I decided to start looking for someone like the famous psychic, intuitive Edgar Cayce who helped 1000s of people with medical issues through his psychic readings. Through synchronicity I followed one lead after another and quickly found Dr. Lisa who I hoped could help me with my illness through her psychic / intuitive abilities, like Cayce had done in the 1940’s.

My story first begins when my father and I went into business together. After the bankruptcy of my fathers first business which I had absolutely no controlling interest in we created a second business in which we became 50/50 partners. I was to run everything but the sales division which was going to be run by my father. That business lasted a little over 10 years and was fairly profitable. We had many, many father and son arguments that put a tremendous amount of stress on me as my father always wanted to control my part of the responsibilities. Over time the working relationship between my father and I eroded and working together at the end of our business relationship became horribly stressful.

Then about 5 year into our business relationship on one Friday afternoon I felt like I was coming down with the flu. Instead of having the flu, like I thought, I actually had a complete intestinal blockage (for some reason many serious illnesses start like flu symptoms). Over the weekend I stayed in bed the whole time and when Sunday afternoon rolled around I was feeling so horrible I could barely make it to the bathroom. Since it took every ounce of energy I could muster just to walk 10’ to the bathroom I decided I really needed to go to the hospital.

After many scans, pokes, prods and barium x-rays, Sunday evening, the Doctor finally figured out what was going on. Monday morning the Doctor came in to my hospital room and announced that I need emergency surgery to fix the blockage, which was a tangled mess or else I would die within hours.

Early Mondayafternoon I was in surgery for 3 hours in which the Doctor removed about 12” of large intestine and rerouted my intestines out my abdominal wall. After surgery the Doctor told me that I would need the colostomy bag for at least 4 - 6 months but luckily the colostomy bag was temporary.

Also after surgery the Doctor asked if I ever had my appendix removed? I said "no" why? He said. I thought so because I could not find a scar but your appendix is gone. I said "how could I not have my appendix" and He "told" me he didn't know. After the first couple of days in the hospital they hooked up a strange brown bottle to my IV. Not knowing what it was I of course asked and was told it was my food.

Little did I know at the time that my first synchronicity was at the hospital because the Doctor / Surgeon that worked on me was the most qualified to do the procedure and also the anesthesiologist was the best in the area. They both happened to be on call the weekend that I got sick and my general practitioner told me any less of a Surgeon and I wouldn’t have made it. So not only did I have a complete blockage and my appendix had dissolved, I also had peritonitis which is an infection of the abdominal wall. Many people over the course of history have died just from peritonitis alone and my great grandfather was one of them.
Amazingly I survived the operation and the 10 days in hospital and I went home to recover and had my new friend (colostomy bag) for, as it turned out, the next 8 months. Slowly I recovered and started to get my strength back which was an agonizingly slow process. I was so weak I could only walk to the end of my driveway before I got tired and had to go back into the house, I needed major help to climb the stairs and even to take a shower. I owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to my wife for helping me though this miserable time in my life.

After a few months of recovery I went to see the Doctor on a follow up visit and he said that my stool looked unusual because there was still blood in it and he wanted me to see a gastroenterologist. I then made an appointment with a gastroenterologist and gave him my case history. He decided that we needed to run a battery of tests to find out what’s going on. The last test and the one that confirmed my diagnosis was a colonoscopy in which the nurse blurted out "a classic case of Crohns disease".

The type Crohns I have is more unusual as I get constipated whereas most who are afflicted with Crohns have diarrhea, additionally my Crohns is the type develops fistulas. For those who are unfamiliar; a fistula is where two sections of bowel touch and where they they touch they will grow together and make a new channel or connection between the two. When enough new channels were created and my bowels interconnecting in a looping mess they finally just blocked where nothing could pass though.

Now not only did I have a complete intestinal blockage but I ended up being diagnosed with Crohns disease which along with destroying a part of my intestines complete dissolved my appendix which was something the Doctor had never seen before in his many, many experienced years as a surgeon. I was in the hospital for a total of 10 days with nothing to eat or drink for the first 7 – 8 days because my intestines were in shock. I lost almost 40 lbs during my 10 day internment and did loose all of my physical strength.

After several months I started to regain my strength and I decided to try and go back to work for short periods during the day. Slowly life got back to some type of normalcy and things got back normal. Which was unfortunate because that’s what caused me to slowly get eaten up by the stress and fighting with my father. For the next 4 years life continued on and just under one month before my 40th birthday I decided I couldn’t take the stress at work anymore and my father bought me out of the business.

My physical body had somewhat recovered from the surgical episode a few years earlier but my Crohns disease had continued to cause me a tremendous amount of pain, so much so I was on some of the strongest painkillers available. The worst symptom aside from just outright pain is the sensation of having take a shit when you cant. Even though I do NOT have to go I still have the urge to go VERY BADLY, its a terrible sensation. (Its like having like dry heaves with your butt).
Here is a partial list of some of the assorted medications I was on. .

Morphine - By the hand full – (16 pills per day)
Duragesic Patches - 100mcg
Demerol - 100mg
Vicodin - Taking them just like popcorn
Actiq - Pain Lollypops
Prednisone 60mg
Mesalamine - By the hand full
Remicade - IV solution - Gave me artiritis in my left hand + $15,000 per IV, did it twice and said the hell with this.
Imuran - Immunosuppressive
Flagyl - Antibiotic

There were at least 7 other medications I had to take to combat the side effects of the following drugs. Like I was retaining water so the doctor put me on a diuretic to help me eliminate water then I needed Potassium because the diuretic makes you loose potassium. Then the one diuretic was not enough so I was given a heart medication to help with the water retention, the pharmacist thought I had heart problems.

Part 2

After a few months of being out of the family business my emotional, physical and spiritual well being continued to deteriorate significantly and then I synchronistically discovered Dr. Lisa. I called her office and was told that she did not have any appointments for at least one month but I could leave my number and they would schedule something. About 30 mins later I got a call from Dr. Lisa's office that someone just canceled their appointment and wanted to know if I would be interested in it. I jumped at the chance and called in and spoke with Dr. Lisa and she did an intuitive healing. Simultaneously I had made the decision that I had had enough of taking all the pills and said I to myself I am done with them. After our session I felt so much better I was simple amazed and while slowly weaning myself off all the drugs I continued to seek her counseling and that began in early 2005.

Additionally around January 2007 I started doing Martial Arts training and more specifically Won Moo Hapkido by Grand Master Sang Yun Lee. When thanksgiving came around in 2007 I officially got off the pain killers altogether by myself. I had called a rehab center and was told that normal withdrawal treatment took close to a week to complete and cost many thousands of dollars. If I wanted rapid withdrawal treatment it cost many, many thousands of dollars. I didn't want to take the time and spend the money so I did it myself with herbs and supplements suggested by another intuitive healer.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending how you look at it, in late 2008 I twisted my leg wrong during training and tore the meniscus in my right knee. Although at the time I did not know it was the meniscus. My knee injury messed up my training and instead of going to the doctor right away I waited a couple of months to see if it would heal. A couple of months later my knee was better but was making a strange popping when I fully extended my leg. I continued to do Martial Arts training during this time but it was a half assed effort but my Crohns was still not really bothering me yet.

After discussing my knee with Dr. Lisa who also happens to be a licensed Rheumatoid Arthritis doctor convinced me to see an orthopedic knee surgeon. After surgery for my knee I was completely and totally off of Martial Arts training for almost two months and during that time is when it happened... my Crohns flared up BIG TIME. My Crohns symptoms haven't flared up in 1 1/2 years so when it up I said to myself "self" something is wrong so after discussing it with Dr. Lisa we decided I had better get back to Martial Arts training.

After going back to training with Master Lee I knew Hapkido was helping my Crohns symptoms and slowing the diseases progression so I had a new vigor for training and got really serious. When it came time to do the breathing exercises I really tried my hardest. Up until this point I was doing the breathing techniques but only for the few minutes we would do them in class. About this time I decided to begin taking private lessons with Master Lee. During the private lesson he works on specific areas that need strengthening, one of which was my core. He then proceeded to teach me how to really breath and use my stomach muscles during training and other unique stomach exercises.

(On Edit - If you are still reading by this point) I should have included the link to the Martial Arts breathing technique that really helps keep my Crohns under control.
Here is the link to the Instructions on photobucket - http://s622.photobucket.com/albums/tt308/coronetrt101/?albumview=slideshow

Then a couple of months later I noticed that after the breathing technique my gut felt tremendously better. Then a light bulb went off in my head and then next time my Crohns symptoms bothered me I did the breathing exercises and they subsided in less than 3 minutes. "Holy Crap" I thought to myself this is better than any drug that I can take and its effect is almost instant. So now I train 4 days a week with Master Lee and my symptoms are subsiding however this time around they are slower to dissipate.

I plan on continuing my Martial Arts training with Master Lee and further reducing my Crohns activity until its back into remission. My last colonoscopy showed a large reduction in inflammation and swelling versus the previous colonoscopy which showed terrible inflammation and swelling along with bridging mucosa. Bridging mucosa occurs when the swelling is so severe that the mucosa lining the intestines grows uncontrollably and connects to the other side of the intestines, creating a bridge. I hope that by the time of my next colonoscopy coming up at the end of 2009, that in spite of the flair up I experienced in earlier, there will be continued improvement.

Additionally, there have been many minor aches and pains that have cropped up and usually they would be associated with sports injuries or just plain getting older. However after mentioning these aches and pains to Dr. Lisa she had been able to help eliminate them. As an example I had some pain in my hip and after a session with Dr. Lisa the pain was gone and on another occasion pain in groin area and she helped with that too. Other than my initial surgery for the intestinal blockage I have not needed another surgery except for closing my colostomy and a hernia repair caused by the Presnisone.

With help of Dr. Lisa and Grand Master Lee I have gotten off of painkillers altogether and I now know EXACTLY how to keep my Crohns disease under control. Plus I am physically and spiritually healthier and happier than I have ever been in my life.

Thanks for the warm thoughts....

All along the way I discover things I never new existed such as the lollypops.. BTW, they taste pretty good but the only way insurance will cover them is if you have cancer... I had to pay out of pocket for them and they are $$$$$$$$..

It almost sounds like the eye of RA on your hand.. Are you familiar with who they are??

None of the pills were really working for me. They would help for a bit and I would seem to build up a tolerance to them and then the Crohns would flare up again. Some of the medicines are really terrible for you and if it was not helping me or just helping a little I would stop taking it because it wasn't worth the side effects.

Two of the medicines that really concerned me was Prednisone and Imuran. The Imuran didn't seem to help me much but I don't think I was really taking enough of it. That was fine with me because the though of compromising my entire immune system seemed counter intuitive.

The Prednisone worked for a while but then the effects started to ware off and I was already on it for 6 months. The Doctor and I both did not want me on the Prednisone for very long so while he was weening me off of the Predisone my symptoms continued on.

I had made 3 big changes that made a difference. 1)Got off all white foods. (sugar, flower, etc.) 2)Martial Arts 3)Dr. Lisa...... Plus many small changes.

Also I have not seen a gastrointerologist in over 3 yrs. It is really nice not being married to a doctor and medicines... It really SUCKED...

I can feel for you all....

Thanks Jamie2462...
I didn't plan on this taking this journey (like any of you did) but I will say it sure is a huge learning experience....

Yeah... i didnt think the trade off for the lollypops were very good either...

I have a friend that visited Egypt and the Pyramids.. We studied them also and found out some really weird and bizarre things.

Thanks for the wishes...

SpoonNinja...

Yeah... I would love to go to Egypt and do all of the tourist things. I will hopefully be able to in the near future as I have a friend that can get me into some of the areas that are now closed off.

I have learned quite a bit also about Egypt but more esoteric stuff. If you would like to discuss some time drop me a note... I can also recommend some good books that discusses things that normal main stream science does not.

Mark33180..
Unfortunately the names origin in not as romantic as you portray. Actually I own a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T w/ 440ci Engine...

The Coronet Model was more of a sedan and R/T makes it more exclusive. When I first started browsing the Net before it was the net I used it as a login and just kept using it... :)

hecks yea i need a new book anyways lol and would love to hear more about what you know! i love learning(well about things that intrest me ne way^.^) its hard to find any good books on egypt i have a few but ne others just repeat the same things over and over again:( but yea i would love to hear what you no!:D
