todays super pain

today nothing unusual with my eating except i had some potato chips around midday, no pain after eating. but always after lunch the pain comes.

i had to take an endone around 2pm, which helped a little. then tonight, after lamb stew i had 2 endone and the pain is still quite bad.

endone is the pill form of morphine, 5mg per pill.

i really need the pain to quit by july 17th. University starts up again then.

i think i have a constriction, ill get another colonoscopy soon to confirm it. as i havent had one for 4 years. doctor said inflammation was too bad to do it when i was in hospital 2 weeks ago.

Are you usually ok with red meat? I know with me I get agonising pain with any meat, it's far too stringy and takes ages to digest, it needs loads of enzymes to break it down.
I've not eaten red meat for nearly 16 months now and I feel much better for it.
Could you up your Pred?
How about you see your GP and let him palpate your abdo, they can usually feel an obstruction or swelling, and use a stethoscope to hear for any movement.

Hi,
If you are a bit obstructed (and that certainly can cause the sort of pain you describe) you might try a liquid diet for a couple of days to see if it helps. Ensure Plus or Resource Plus or some other type of complete nutrition drink would be ok. The colonoscopy should give you answers unless the illness is higher up in your small bowel.
