Toosh sweats?

I was wondering if anybody else here has frequent (and I mean frequent, every 20 minutes or so) butt sweats? I get them a lot during the day, causing me to go to the bathroom and clean up or change my underwear. It's also quite profuse (it's only in the crack, sorry if tmi) and embarrassing at times (not like I can do much about it but it's no fun nonetheless). Does anybody else get this? Any remedies? Any idea what the cause may be? Excess mucous? I never had mucous in my bm's so I'm a little confused. It's gotten worse over the past I would say 6 months, though my surgery made no difference either way to the sweating (the surgery took out about 13 inches of diseased bowel in the form of a stricture and bowel-loop).

Maybe it isn't sweat? Possible anal leakage? I haven't dealt with either myself but I'd probably contact my GI about that. If it's sweat, then I'd use baby powder but if its anal leakage, that needs to be looked into.

Like Crabby said, i would use baby powder, i do anyway, everywhere below, that's just me. i would say if that dont keep you dry, it has to be something else because im always dry with it all during the very hot summer. and wasnt before i ever used it.

It does sound more like leakage vs. actual sweating.....what can happen is the sphincter muscle can weaken and allow leakage....one of the notes on my colonscopies has been noted lack of tone....or less tone....something like that....

It's not near my anus though. It's above and behind more right under my coccyx than anything actually, which is where I sweat when I sweat there normally, which leads me to believe it's not leakage. I will ask my GI doc when I see him. Thanks guys! Much appreciated. I think I will give the baby powder a try.
