I am brushing with a toothpaste that has Carrageenan, (as most do) and also taking boost to gain weight that has Carrageenan as well. Should I be worried and look for an alternative to both since Carrageenan has been linked to increasing inflammation.
Thanks

Also any suggestions for alternatives/ safer versions for both?

carageenan, used by scientists experimentally induce colitis(colonic inflammation!!) in mice,so yea stay away from this stuff. also i used to drink lots of soy milk that contained carageenen before developing IBD.

What are the alternatives of boost and toothpastes that you recommend?
Also, are there any other ingredients to avoid like this?

I have been using Nature's Gate natural toothpaste:

Nature's Gate signature AntioxiDental Blend™ of Aloe, Ginger, Bisabolol, Cranberry, Pomegranate, White Tea, and Grapeseed work together with Calcium Carbonate and Baking Soda to help refresh and clean teeth and gums.

Free of GMOs, carrageenan, soy, fluoride, paraben, sulfate, artificial flavors or sweeteners, cruelty.

Thanks, I'll look into the toothpastes. Do you have any alternative in mind to Boost/Ensure without carrageenan?
