Ok, this is random, but I want to know if I'm the only one to whom it happens. I use coloplast product so I guess this question might just be valid for other users unless the material are reacting the same way for other brands.

There it is; anytime I eat jalapenos, or tabasco or anything that contains hot peppers (so I'm guessing it is interaction with capsaisin and the plastic) well, the bag make bubbles. No, I don't mean it inflates, I mean the plastic of the bag make a double layer or I don't know and bubbles inflates in the material just as bubble wrap! Anyone has noticed that phenomenon? The bag remains fine afterward but it makes me wonder every time...:ybatty:

Interesting! I've always been a wimp and don't eat jalapenos or anything else even slightly spicy, so can't help out with your question. I'm curious about what you find out.

Very curious. i have no idea what could be causing this. I don't eat jalapeno's either so haven't had the opportunity to see weather it happens. Keep us updated.

I wonder if capsaicin per say could be beneficial for us. They use it as anti-inflammatory in cream now. I don't know if it the guts could eventually like it. I won't go as to recommend it yet though. Even with my few bad lucks with the disease I still consider myself lucky (and so do some of my healthy gut friends) because I have some Iron gut. I'm generally the one that eats the left over jalapenos in a nachos plate >.> Ok, Ok, I don't do that during flares!

It certainly could be beneficial. There are all sorts of things out there that could be helpful. My GI recommends 9grams of fish oil a day because its an anti-inflammatory so no reason to think capsaicin wouldn't be the same - even with its 'awful' burning feeling. :)

9 of the 1000mg, though now I get the 2000mg so I don't have to take so many!
Definitely a hassle but it seems to help with depression and arthritis if not crohn's.
