Toxic

Has anyone suffered from an infection so bad it made you toxic? I did in the hospital and I guess I was just shy of having Septic shock, which in a lot of of cases can be fatal. I had an infection but they tested me for septic and apparently didn't have it but I was still toxic, blood pressure dropped way below normal and I had to be given a blood transfusion all due to Ulcerative Colitis, anyone else have something like this happen to them?

I was heading for septic bowels too, infection had set in, my CRP was 261
I was lucky, it nearly ruptured, high doses of IV morphene, metronidazole, hydrocortisone and Pred and a week in hospital did the trick!
I won't be ignoring the signs again!
straight to A&E!
