Travelling with someone with Crohn's - Insurance? (UK)

Hi, this is my first post on the forum and hopefully someone will be able to help me.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in April and I have managed to sort out holiday insurance for myself for an upcoming trip to France.

However, my girlfriend is travelling with me and whenever she looks for insurance quotes she is forced to agree to a number of conditions, one of which states:

"I am not aware of a relative, a travelling companion, or any other person on whose health my trip might depend has a medical condition which might lead me to cancel or curtail my trip."

Obviously because of my Crohn's this is possible. Could anyone give any advice on what to do about this situation? Obviously I knew I would have to declare my own pre-existing condition but had never considered that my travelling companions may also need to.

She could try phoning the insurance companies and discussing this with them; rather than relying on internet forms.

It would probably mean she would pay a higher price for her insurance in the end.

I called the company who are providing my insurance and managed to add her to my existing policy for a very reasonable price.

Appreciate the help!
