Tip for making Humira Shot not hurt as much
Because my son is so slim, the veins on his legs are very visable. After we ice his leg, however, you can't see any...so in the past when he gets the shot, we've hit a vein and its been very painful (even with long icing). I thought it was just the medicine burning. The last 3 injections, I have him stand up and with a sharpie I mark with a dot the veins in the area we are going to do the shot. Then we ice until his leg feels numbish.(5-7 min) My husband then knows where to place the pen and delivers the shot. Brian has said it doesn't hurt anymore. Not even the burn! I think missing the veins is the key. Just a thought for all the other Humira kiddos
