This is my attempt at taking a more natural approach.

I'm going to start taking Turmeric Supreme by Gaia Herbs and try Derma E Stop Itch for the angry red rash that is from my mail bag I tote around for work - I seem to be allergic to the canvas (scratchy etc) and I have a nasty red rash up my arm. I'm hoping to alleviate the symptoms externally and also help with overall inflammation skin and internals with the Turmeric.

I'll give a progress report after a week to see if I notice a difference or not. Please note, I do not expect my rash to disappear as it's a contact thing, but managing its severity would be great.

I'm interested to hear how the turmeric works out. I've tried making a "tea" out of it, and just cooking with lots of it, but I've never noticed anything. (The taste certainly isn't charming when you get beyond what would normally be used in a recipe.)

I will mention something I think I've noticed since starting the Turmeric today. Firstly, I wasn't experiencing pain before I started this. I'm trying to be proactive in reducing my issues as I was in the hospital 2 weeks ago.
I have taken two capsules today and detect a slightly odd taste right at the back of my tongue. Kind of pepperish, but not quite. The formula I have does have black pepper in it to aid digestion and absorption of the turmeric.

Just a heads-up: I'm putting the turmeric on hold until I get my scope done. I don't know when that will happen. They're waiting for the insurance company to approve the pill cam scope. After all that's done, I'll go back on the turmeric because I think it has the potential to offer some natural remedy for inflammation that is much kinder to the body than NSAIDs.
