Ugh...Here comes another colonoscopy...

Just had my first GI appointment today after I took myself off Remicade and Asacol because it didn't work...He put me on prednisone for two weeks until my 2nd colonoscopy where he will still what the next step is going to be in my treatment...

Just venting because they suck...Been working out recently and trying to gain mass and now I have to starve myself for two days and take laxative....Ughhhhh :ymad:

It may not be as useless as you think. I had a colonoscopy in Sept. '11, but there was so much inflammation that the biopsies where difficult to read. I had to take meds to reduce the inflammation then have another colonoscopy 3 months later. Taking the prednisone then having a colonoscopy sounds like a good idea. The only times I have obtained useful information about my condition has been from colonoscopies. Besides, two days of starving and laxatives won't hurt your muscles mass that much. Body builders do it all the time for competitions. Hang in there.

I know, I want too get it done to get better treatment. I just don't like it.
