The thing I dislike msot about this disease is uncertainy !! Like a lt of other thigns in this life.
I am on disability and well they have decided to change some rules. That means i am gettign less money as they have qaulified crohns in a different area..and i don't qualify. Does anyone ahve the illlness without weight loss ? I do !! I wonder if it is becasue of where the disease is located ??
I have a cousin who has it in her small bowel but mine is in my large bowel. I'd like to try a different medication but I am scared of the side effects. then i also wondr if it would help em and gvie me mroe stability. I feel hopeful when people tell em they have been in remission for many years. I don't know what remission is for me. I don't get checked enough !!
I would really love some stability. Finances and routine... oh well..maybe in my next lfie :)

They haven't changed the terms here in the US but they have started giving those in Ca less money to help pay the Ca debt. I've been in remission for 12 years and haven't had any weight loss since I was in a really bad flare. I've been on 6MP and Asacol (although I'm not on Asacol anymore) and both have listed side effects but I haven't experienced any even after taking them for over 10 years. Not everyone has side effects or any that are bothersome. So there's no guarantee that you'll have any. In my opinion, if it helps you get better, then its worth taking. Being healthy/in remission again will give you stability. Even when I'm in remission I still take medication and have regular tests done to make sure I stay in remission. Once you get your health stable, the rest of your life can fall back into place.
