Heylo!
I'm Lyndor. I'm a 21 year old female married nurse from Ireland.
I have a history of polycystic ovarian syndrome and (tempermental) asthma.
In the last four weeks I have presented with right sided abdominal pain, where your appendix would be. Initially, I assumed it was my polycystic ovaries - the pain was very similar to what I'd experienced before in the same area. I couldn't mobilise and it lasted about 30 minutes.
Since that initial pain symptoms became worse, and then lessened as I took note of what I ate. I had symptoms of
- Putrid (seriously) flatulence.
- diarroheoa
- constipation
- fatigue
- pain after eating
- no appetite.
- Sudden cravings for food -- like I'm starving.
- severe pain on an empty stomach
- Lesser pain on left side of belly buttom.
- red blood in stools (1 episode).
I noticed symptoms were worse after spicey foods - the pain was unreal - or if my stomach was empty.
So, off to my GP I went. Initally had avoided it because I presumed it to be either my PCOS or a mild tummy bug. The blood changed my mind.
So, currently awaiting my urgent appointment and blood results (FBC, coeliacs...)
