Incapacitatingly sore and swollen back (age 15), chronic fatigue syndrome (age 17), fibromyalgia diagnosis (age 18), peripheral neuropathy hands&feet (age 21), axial arthritis (age 23), apthous mouth ulcers (age 24), erythema nodosum (age 24), ulcerative colitis (age 30), anterior uveitis (age 33).

What?! Seems so clear looking back lol with my recent diagnosis of iviitis, my doc is finally convinced (I only found my current doc last year, thank god!) that it's crohns and not UC. I'm on sulfasalazine, buscopan, cipralex, zopiclone, percocet, multi, milk thistle, folic acid, omega 369's, acidophilus, and a simple carb diet when I'm really sick.

I'm a 33 yr old elite fitness coach, 6ft 200lbs reg, sitting at 160lbs from this 6 month flare. Not bad tho I've been as low as 145! Oh and no surgeries yet, knock on wood - tho my Gramps (rip- love ya buddy) did have his entire colon removed when he was about middle aged.

Hey Astra, thanks for the reply!

I've done a little trolling around and find it amazing there are so many of us with such severe symptoms who are going undiagnosed! Crazy, but in this age of information things'll only get better I'm sure :)

Hi Kairos, welcome to the forum. I'm undiagnosed myself even after a year of going through pretty much every test there is, so I totally understand how frustrating it is to have these symptoms and still be undiagnosed! Good to hear that it sounds like you've got a decent doc who does feel like you've got Crohn's. Are you having tests in the future to confirm, or is your doc just going to treat you as though this is Crohn's?

I hope you do get some firm answers and a proper diagnosis soon and that you're able to leave diagnostic limbo. But until then, just know that you're not alone and there's plenty of us on here who are undiagnosed with similar symptoms as the ones you described.

Ya he knows it's crohns- my recent iviitis diagnosis confirmed it. I'll be having more tests to assess the severity but really nothing changes lol it's the same condition I've been living with for 17 years. It's nice to have a doctor who believes the patient, and not the clipboard, is the best resource. Do your research and keep insistant- you know better than anyone that's something wrong :)

Welcome Matthew and you know we have to trust our own bodies...
listen to them...we know when something is wrong.
Glad you found a doc who listened to you!!

Just stopping in to say welcome ....you're in good company here!
Hugs~Nancy
