Hi all,
Just wanted to check in with a quick update from my GI appt Friday. It was a good appt, I really liked the doc. She agreed that my situation needs further investigation. She wasn't really happy about my scope done by the general surgeon (at my place of work)....she said it "wasn't acceptable"..lol. I love the general surgeon that did my scope but I agree that he didn't seem real concerned he would find anything..and then told my husband that "nothing is ever found on that right side anyways". Ummm....that's where my ileum is and thats where I have my pain???
Anyways...she ordered a bunch of labwork just to check up on things that way. Tomorrow I am having a Ct enterography and she also wants to repeat the colonoscopy in about 6 weeks. She wants me off of prednisone which is bitter sweet...it is helping but I don't want to hide anything by being on it. She asked if I remember having a lot of pain during my scope.....I said yes..and the nurses told my husband they had to give me a lot of meds! She said..things could be harder because of my history of endometriosis and scaring r/t this. She said she would enlist a anesthesiologist instead of a RN...so they could give me "better drugs". She said the more relaxed I am...the better.
So...all in all....I was really impressed with her....seems to really care and wants to help me figure this out. Were any of you diagnosed via CT enterography?....sounds like they can get a pretty good look at the small intestines, etc??
Ok..better run....I'll keep everyone updated.
Hugs
Olivia
