update on me Tayandky
So I went to my GI doctor before Thanksgiving and he wanted to do a colonoscopy on tuesday. Well since he wasn't in my network i asked for how much and they wanted $842 extra! on top of my deductible and that doesn't include biopsy and other tests. So I called my surgeon and made an appt with him. I walked in this last tuesday and he knew exactly what my pain was right off the bat unlike my GI idiot dr. Well my pain was a fissure well it was so out of hand (due to being in pain for over a month) he said he would have to do surgery. I did everything to try and feel better nothing helped. I continued to tell him about what has been going on and how my GI dr ignored me and this is why I was with him trying to figure out what was happening. Well he said I'm on the wrong dose of meds, my bruising is a concern, and i need to see a hematologist. He also said I should consider seeing a different dr. oh and he said a colonoscopy would be pointless! so if i would have went with my GI dr I would still be in pain.
So he scheduled me for surgery to take a look under anesthesia and with a possible sphincterotomy. So I prepped yesterday and went in this morning for surgery. Im here tonight feeling 90% better! The pain took my energy to do anything even work then I would come home and go to bed due to extreme pain that I couldn't help with any solution. He ended up doing my sphincterotomy and im glad. To live with that pain for over a month is unreal. I would have rather had a baby with no meds. which i have done with my 2nd child and that wasn't bad. this was!
So I'm feeling better and really glad that plans changed.
I believe in "things happen for a reason" if i would have gone with my GI i would be in pain and debt and probably not find anything out and if i did then be woken up and referred to a surgeon. So going with my surgeon he took the time to look and take great care of me like he always does. So as of today I am dumping my GI he can go somewhere else! haa
I sit here with my energy and pain free...well a little haa. But just wanted to let people know to follow their instincts. If something doesn't seem right then you need to do something else. We can tell when our body is telling us something.
Have a great night everyone I know I will :0)
