Sarah continue to do well. Schoolie is over and she is home again. We are running a taxi service. Lots of uni/tafe interviews and job interview today. She has received an offer for next year.

Kerry has her first GI appointment on Monday.

Now me!

I had a colonscopy/Gastroscopy yesterday. The Gastroscopy was a late decision after seeing the clinic nurse week ago.

The colonscopy was completely clear, biopsy were taken. GI believe Crohn's very unlikely.

Gastroscopy was clear for oesophagus and duodenum.

The stomach is not so good. GI found mild chronic atrophic gastritis with gastric intestinal metaplasia. Biopsies taken assessing for dysplasia and helicobacter.

Glad to hear Sarah is doing well and home for a bit!

I hope that Kerry's appt goes well on Monday.

I asked my GI is mine was atrophic, thought that might be the reason for tachycardia(pernicious anemia-b12 deficiency) but he said the visual was clear, biopsy showed chronic inflammation/chronic gastritis. Didn't think to ask him if being on the nexium for almost a month at time of endoscopy may have cleared up visual. I did ask the GP and he said yes without the nexium they may have seen inflammation visually.

Glad Sarah is doing well! :D Is the offer something she is interested in? Or lower down on her list?? :)

Hope all goes well with Kerry.

And for you too - hope you get answers for you and Kerry soon! :ghug:

It is so good to hear that Sarah is doing well and getting ready for the next chapter in her life! :):):)

Good luck for Kerry’s appointment Monday! I hope it is a good one. :goodluck:

I hope the biopsies shed some light on things Catherine and if they do that the answers are simple ones! :ghug:

Funny what you hope for. Currently hoping for helicobacter dx as it seems to have clear treatment plan.

I have taken a course of tinidazole night, hopefully it help.

Also have to make decision on whether to keep taking doxycycline as it hard on the stomach (4 weeks into a 6 month course for Rosacea).

Thanks for listening.

I need to start the FODMAP diet fully in the new year.

Currently on a low lactose and low gluten diet. Heartburn has almost complete gone.

Also taking Metamucil.

Also decide to stop taking doxycycline as the biopsies are consistent with bile reflux gastritis or medication induce gastritis.

Good for you! Hope the diet does the trick. May even help the rosacea as so many skin issues are gut related.
