Monday was really hard, it took over an hour to get them down. I think she was nervous because she was on a bit of a time limit because she had school. Yesterday it took about 5 min to get the first one down. She was almost in tears and getting frustrated. I told her that I read online that you should picture in your mind, swallowing something you like. She told me no, there is NO way thats going to work. But she closed her eyes, plugged her nose and swallowed.. the pill went down! She was so excited. I asked what she pictured herself swallowing and she told me watermelon. Second pill went down the same way on the first swallow. :biggrin:She got up this morning, had breakfast and I got her pills out. She looked a bit nervous, so I told her "just try to do it the same way as yesterday" Today she got them both down on the first swallow! :D No tears, no upset and one VERY happy proud little girl :) Of course I hugged her, high fived her and told her how very proud of her I am.

Thank you Dusty! She told me to post online so she could help other kids, or anyone who can't swallow their pills. She said "tell them to think of watermelon.. or whatever they LOVE to eat"

God love her...what a doll. :thumleft:
I told you about lubricating them with butter but another mother told me maple syrup works too..maybe that'll help.

Thank you Tess!!
Thank you Twiggy!!
Thank you imaboveitall!! I told her about the butter and she said no way! lol She had absolutely no problem today :)

Prob once she got over psyching herself out it was fine...I know that's happened to me with huge pills. It's the thought of it, just makes your throat close up.

Way to go Devynn!! That's so great and such a relief for mom right? These kids of ours amaze me. S told me today that doing this EN stuff is going to make him stronger physically and mentally. Brought tears to my eyes!

Thank you Shelley, it sure is a relief. Aww :*) I can see how that brought tears to your eyes, what a brave boy! (((hugs)))
