Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on here but I need a little advice!
I wont write a novel here or anything but I've spent majority of this year extremely sick and last month after months of waiting for my gastro referral I received a letter from the hospital to say that they 'did not consider my case to be urgent and therefore would not be offering me an appointment'.
My GP and I went and did the follow up tests reccommended by the hospital and they all came up clear (as they always seem to with me) and I've actually been very well again for the past 3 weeks with only very mild symptoms (abdo pain mainly but very rarely and occasionally I could feel that my intestines were inflammed). So much so I'm back at university
Unfortunately the past week i felt myself going back downhill again and after having a glass of wine over the weekend (stupid decision I know) I now feel absolutely terrible.
The problem is I DO NOT want to have to go back to the doctors. I honestly feel like nobody takes me seriously because all my tests come up clear (aside from CRP count) everytime.
My GP is great, and he's fought so hard to get me into the gastroenterologist but the public health system here is a bitch and I'm a student so I can't afford to go private.
I know I need an endoscopy, and my GP is pretty convinced it's crohn's in the small intestines. But well as you can tell i'm kind of stuck without a diagnosis.
I've felt so good lately and now back to this. Any advice?
I just want answers now
