update

yesterday they tried to put a ng tube down my nose but failed miserably and left my nose bleeding and me spitting up blood. i need a smaller tube but they don't have any and i need to have one in for surgery tomorrow so that really worries me. hmph. anyway, my nutrition levels have gone up slightly and the are doing my surgery tomorrow. i'm so nervous and hope that i heal properly. i don't want any of my bowel fluids seeping through my wounds. ew. i'm just ready to get out of this hospital and start feeling better. it has been a little over 5 days sinse i have eaten ANYTHING. i'm so hungry. i don't know what i would do without tpn. it's a total lifesaver.:rosette1:

Your poor nose! That must have been awful!

I hope your surgery goes awesome and you get to healing and feeling better. I'll be thinking about you. Are you in a Seattle hospital? Send me a PM if you get lonely and want somebody to visit you/bring you something. Good luck!

I was told I would wake up with an NG, but they won't do it before I'm knocked out, thank goodness. I could only imagine how horrible that was for you

@ diesanduhr - aw thank you i will definitely let you know if i am in need of some company. i am at the university of washington hopsital. i love this place.

@ Manzyb - they wanted to do it sooner because i have been constantly puking up stomach bile that has been killing my throat and they thought getting it sooner would give me some relief. little did i know the tube was too big for me! most uncomfortable experience ever. i'm waiting until they can do it when i'm out this time. ha.

How are you doing tish?? I was thinking about you and thought I'd come on here and check on ya. I hope you are doing okay and staying plenty pain-medicated up! LOL
