What a long 2 days. Kian had his mri on Thursday so had to fast before it. Right after, he was admitted to the ward as we had scopes done the next day so he was allowed to eat til 6pm but by that time the hunger was off him so had nothing! followed by sena and picolax and then again the next day which left him feeling sick. we had one overtired, hungry emotional boy which was awful. He eventually had his scopes at 4pm on Friday. Anyway his doc was surprised by the results (in a good way) there was nothing going on in the large bowel, looked fine but he couldn't scope the small as there was scarring and some ulcers at the join from large to small so we have to wait on mri results for that area now but its looking like surgery for him in the new year. Maybe once that's done he will start getting nutrients from his food and gaining weight. he now doesn't have to have methotrexate as the 6mp is doing its job fine so that's one thing. Feel nervous about the surgery thought but its done keyhole they said. The only thing Kian is worried about is maybe having to take that horrible picolax again..... aren't kids great!!!
