Upper discomfort/heartburn etc....

I'm going to bring this up to my GI doc next time I see her - I have been experiencing more heartburn/upper GI discomfort over the past few weeks (at least since I have been paying attention).....I feel bloated, alost constant achy/sharp pain under my rib cage - nothing that I have taken any drugs for during the day - but then again I do have a high tolerance so it is hard to judge exactly how painful it really is.....

Anyway - I'm thinking I might want to ask my GI if an upper scope is a good idea? My colonoscopy came back clear, no sign of disease (YAY!)...where when I have been in flares I have had lots of ulcers etc.....

I am sitting here at my desk, with my belly hanging over my belt ( wear a uniform for work) and the pain is above that.....almost goes across my chest and under my arms.......been doing more burping than usual too I think.....

I'm not obstructed - poo'd 2 times today and the lower belly feels fine......

Anyone have similar experience with this type of pain?

Yep, I went for an Endoscopy, and was DX with a Hiatus Hernia and at times I thought I was having a heart attack. Two things that work Maalox ultra with anti gas formula (wild berry is all I can stomach) the other is an exercise. Best bet, is to avoid alcohol and large meals, eat smaller meals throught the day. Hope this helps ya!

Thanks Pen.....I have gotten some pain in my left chest area - but it doesn't radiate into my arm or chin.....and no difficulty breathing with it.....

Doc appt (Remicade) in 2 weeks.....will try to hold out until then!.....waiting right now for the Lortab to kick in so I can sleep when Tori goes to bed.....I know hubby will wake me up when he gets home!
