Had an upper endoscopy test today. According to my doctor everything seemed alright although, they took a couple biopsies just in case. Sounds like I maybe getting another test sometime soon.

Am a little concerned though. Since I returned home I've vomited a couple of times. No blood came with it, but everything that I put into my stomach has come up. Has anyone else had this happened? Should I be concerned and contact my doctor?

I'm not even sure what to try to see if it'll stay down. Already have tried some chicken noodle soup and part of a cracker. Thanks in advance for any ideas.:pale:

I have had that test at least 4 times and never had the vomiting, but perhaps it is a side effect from the drugs they gave you, instead of the scope. However, good idea to call the doc's office and leave a message for them to review it.

Try some ginger tea and perhaps chicken broth. Your throat may be irritated so perhaps keeping a liquid diet for next day may help; until you hear from doc?

I vomited after my endoscopy. No idea why. I was fine by the next day though. Are you better now?

Doctor's office said that the vomiting was from the stuff they gave to numb me. Said to use meclizine over the counter for the nausea. It eventually worked, but made me sleepy too. I am a bit better now, but still pretty tender from the procedure and the symptoms before it have come back as well. Plus, I came down with the flu right after having the endoscopy done. It's been a fun week!
