Upset @ admin for deleting my account

I was having a very bad day today, not feeling well.

I went on to the forums, and I could not sign on.

I then found the e-mail in my mail box.

Dear Ezequiel, Unfortunately your account at Crohns Disease Forum- Support forum for IBD, Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease did not meet our membership requirements as it was identified as being a spam account. Therefore your registration was deleted. If this was done in error please reregister at www.crohnsforum.com and e-mail us at [email protected] your username and e-mail so that we can properly register you. We apologize for this and hope you will register again. Thank you, Crohns Disease Forum- Support forum for IBD, Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease


I am very saddened to see that my account was deleted.

Is this because I am yet to be diagnosed with chrones?

I have opened only 3 threads, and posted 15 times in one week, I feel that I have never done any Spam.

If you guys do not want me in your community then It would have been nice to tell me without using an automated e-mail.

I already feel alone facing the onset of this disease, and to see this message was a real kick in the teeth.

To say I feel hurt is an understatement.

I am sorry if this has been done in error Ezequiel. I'd suggest sending a PM to one of the admin staff. There has been a few problems on here lately and you may have been caught up in it accidentally?

I hope so.

I also suffer from bipolar disorder and go to counselling because I feel alone and depressed and I cant help but feel that when an error like this happens, I just feel as though someone is out there laughing at me.

firstly, on behalf of Crohn's Forum, please accept my apologies for the accidental deletion of your account. i don't know exactly how this happened as i've hardly been online for the past 24 hours, but unfortunately this does happen occasionally, in Staff's attempt to clear the dozens of new spam accounts which sign up every week.

i understand that, particularly when someone is suffering, this can be quite an upsetting discovery, but please be assured that you are very welcome here.. no matter what your diagnosis, or whether or not you've been diagnosed.

this was purely an error... and i thank you for reregistering.

It was quite ironic that I have been having issues originating around abandonment, stress and feeling alone due to how I am feeling and something like this happens.

I guess someone out there (up there/down there) really is trying to test my resolve.

Once again, thanks for clearing it up.

Mistakes happen (usually around me) and I am glad that I was not deleted because I was not wanted for any reason.

Ezequiel.. have you looked into whether there's any IBD type support groups in your area? i don't know which corner of the world you're in, but there are many organisations for Crohn's, Colitis etc, and a lot of them hold meetings, and even those that don't or they are too far to travel still offer support by email/telephone/advice sites etc..

Well, mistakes happen. I imagine it's a pain in the butt (no pun intended) for the admins to keep up with the Spam accounts, but rest assured, you're most certainly welcome here! I obviously have nothing to do with accounts, but the people here are very welcoming, and would certainly not mean to upset you. Hope that you're feeling better from the misunderstanding!

Here seems as good a place as any have asked for my account to be deleted so far fallen on deaf ears have unresolved health issues some of which maybe ibd/ibs related one wish you all know by my username i may never get healthy enough to fulfil i heard of someone on here a while ago that i never know what the future holds but the last thing I want is to join any local support groups just to sit around people with health problems whether related to ibd/ibs ch bp or liver disease like that's all I'm worth don't hate any of you more so I hate myself for not being able to deal with this and a bunch of other stuff would appreciate it if my account can be deleted though

Rest assured this site is filled with people who can understand......I think you will have a hard time finding more understanding people than us Crohnies/Collitis/IBD'ers. It is a tough place to be in when feeling poorly and having a tough time. It was obviously a mistake when your account was deleted. Welcome back.........Stay Strong!
