So I'm a 17 year old female, i've been dealing with inflamed intestines for about three years. I took a trip to the E.R. today as the pain was unbearable after waiting for the pain to ease up only for the pain to worsen. I was constipated earlier today luckily I was about to have a bowel movement before going to the hospital, though I'm finding it very difficult and painful to urinate still. Once I was admitted I explained to the e.r. Doc that my last doctor had been quite sure I was suffering from Crohns I hadnt gotten the colonoscopy yet though. They took a urine test, it was clean. Blood tests, normal. I was given a shot of Morphine, it didnt help I was then given a pain killer called dialuade (I'm unfamiliar with this medication and unable to spell it sorry) I was given and IV to rehydrate then I was given a catscan only to confirm what I knew, my intestines were inflamed in several spots as usual. They referred me to a specialist which I'm making an appointment tomorrow. I went home throwing up like crazy with awful diarrhea the hospital gave me nothing for pain or anything else for that matter which is fine, but my problem still exists I cant pee without it hurting and the hospital doctors offered no answers as to why peeing hurt me, anyone else suffer from this? Like I said several tests were done and no infection was found so why does it still hurt to pee?

Could you be dehydrated? Sometimes when I am dehydrated it hurts to pee, just curious!

You might want to go to the store an get some cranberry tablets or those AZO tablets that are suppose to help when you are having a painful bladder issue. it's worth a shot, maybe they missed an infection? It's possible.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thank you for advice! I went to my family doctor today, they printed me off my ct results I was super frustrated turns out my intestines are swollen, twisted I have free flowing fluid and I have a possibly ruptured ovarian cyst, why in the world would the hospital send me home. The way the doctor made it seem is that I was merely overreacting when in fact my pain is only expected. My doc wrote me a pain med and a nausea med. Gave me a shot off both at the office as well. she told me if it gets bad again to go to the hospital a difderent one at that.

Did she give you medicine for the inflammation or are they going to let you go see the GI first for that?

I'm glad they got you some pain meds and nausea meds! Those always help. Did she say anything about the painful urination?

I have no idea why they sent you home, that seems crazy to me.

The pain medicine she gave me was also an anti-inflammatory thank God. She sent me home with hydrocodone and nausea pills. I also have an appointment with the GI doc thursday next week. She advised me that if I get worse to go to baylor hospital in Dallas. Right now my pain isnt too bad but I know it's going to spike again before the end of the night ill probably be back at a hospital. She said that maybe all the swelling in my abdominal area has injured my bladder or ureter (i believe it is) and that once my swelling goes away the pain should too but if not ill need another urine test done. Its nice to be able to talk to people that understand this flare up situation, it keeps me sane because niether my mom or bf really understand but.I'm blessed at how supportive everyone is.being for me!
