I've had recurrent UTI injections for over two years now, with antibiotics providing little to no relief.
I've had scans of bladder and camera inserted internally, with no sign of anything.
I have thought this could be caused by rectovaginal fistula however I haven't noticed any stool coming through my vagina.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
I'm currently dealing with the urology department, but should I reach out to gastro dept about my concerns it could be a fistula?
Feeling pretty overwhelmed with the symptoms right now so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this! Yes I would ask your GI about this.

Have you noticed any abnormality in the appearance of your urine? Extra bubbles or air your urine?
Did the urologist consider a fistula? Did they do a dye test?

Fistulas can also occur between small or large intestine and the bladder and the symptoms could be visible stool in the urine but other people might only have recurrent urinary infections and gas in the urine.

Thanks for you reply!

Yes I have noticed that my urine is sometimes frothy or bubbly, but it is intermittent. The urologist did not mention a fistula, but they did mention my crohn's possibly having something to do with the recurrent UTIs. I would have thought the cystoscopy (camera into bladder) test I had would have shown a fistula going from intestine into bladder, so that may have ruled that out.

Haven't had a dye test, but thinking I might suggest that at my next appointment.
Unfortunately they've been a little sloppy at times at this urology dept, different doctors saying different things, losing test results etc. but my gastro dept is really good so I will take up your suggestion and see if they can help me.
