I gave myself the injection today and again all bloods spurted out i clearly nicked a vein and the Humira is just sitting under the skin with a bruise around the site.

I dont know whats happened im swapping from left/right leg when injections due but ive noticed the veins in my legs are a lot more pronounced.
I have lost a lot of weight since Christmas (nearly 7 kg's)

So i dont know if thats had an impact.Tummy is impossible to inject on the right is all the scars from the bowel ops.and the left is just all marks from the steriods.

I was just wondering please if the legs carry on being an issue would it be worth me asking them if other sites can be used?

definitely worth asking, there are people out there who inject in the buttock so I believe that is a possibility.

aw thank you for taking the time to reply.
That woulld be a better option.

I dont know what on earth has happened its even left like a puncture wound this time.
and just a bruise about 8 inches all around the injection site.

Anywhere you can get it just under your skin will work. I don't think there's a special pace to inject, it's just that tummy and legs are the easiest to reach if you're injecting yourself. There is someone on here who has gotten a family member to do the injection so he can use other spot on his body - like upper arms and hips. Don't inject into muscle - it goes just under the skin.

Since I posted here something very weird happened.
the leg got worse Ive had a high temp for the past 2 days the humira nurse is going to call tomorrow and have a chat/check whats wrong. Also been having really bad pain in the liver the joints also felt like they were onfire its really scared me.I thought was there a chance i had picked up Flu etc but something happened after my last jab.The injection site just seems to be getting bigger with bruising and the hole itself is just not healing.

Are you switching injection sites every time you take it? I know of someone who give it in the same area repeatedly and that caused a lot of problems.

Yes.
Its now been marked today as a severe drug reaction I got checked out it wasnt me hitting anything it was some reaction (hence the swelling). So its currently suspended the doctors in london are keen to start it again after they try and find out what happened.

Im due to have surgery on the 7th so it was going to be stopped anyway for about a month whilst this is sorted (im due to have all the infections removed from my Jawbone but has to be via surgery now).
