Sorry everyone, but I just need to vent. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in my twenties. Went through hell for all of college, as well as after I graduated, and finally had a re-section (and half my bladder removed) the year before I got married. I'd been living med free for nineteen years, and this past spring had a mild flare up and was put on meds (Lialda & Budesonide).

I just need to say that I hate this disease. I'm not letting it get the best of me, but waking up & feeling like hell sucks.

Thanks and enjoy your day.

Sorry to hear you're flaring again, PatrickC :( I'm with you on hating this disease. Are you going to be switching meds if things aren't under control?

Hope you're back in remission soon

Yea man, I can sympathize. It's the kind of disease that makes it really hard to put your mind on anything else. The constant pain and worrying those first 2 years for me caused some anxiety issues I've since overcome. One of the biggest things I've learned is how important sleep is for your mental well-being, oh and venting helps a heck of a lot too ;)
