Hi I have not been on here since september last year! but have still been having problems, still no diagnosis but yesterday had a colonoscopy and and endoscopy! I am under Guys hospital in London having been referred there from my local hospital in Kent. The results from yesterdays tests were that I had a normal colon up to the Caecum where they found gastritis and internal Haemorrhoids they have taken some biopsys. The endoscopy results showed gastritis of the body of the stomach and a hiatus hernia. I am now waiting to go and have an MRI and a pelvic floor assessment including endonal ultrasound, and pelvic floor untrasound and anal manometry.

I constantly have first iliac fossa with explosive diarrhoes and some stool incontinence, I have been told that I have a very week squeeze pressure with coordinate muscle contraction and poor pelvic floor descent!

I had my appendix out and a right ovarian cystectomy in June last year, although my appendix was fine! my surgeon said he thought I had IBD and this is why I have been having all these tests!

Any advice would be gratefully recieved as I am so confused and do not know what is wrong with my bowels!

HI Theresa if anyone knows how hard it is for a diagnosis it would be me. My appendix was taken out the very first exploratory surgery. Yadda yadda , a year later and multiple tests they found Crohns. Sometimes even biopsies don't show everything unless they get it in the perfect spot. It is very hard to find. A Gi specialist or consultant should be able to help. YOU can't give up, our bodies tell us when something is wrong and until they find something you have to keep finding out what it is so it can be treated. You have come back on the forum where alot of the past ones have gone, but you still will get some help here. Welcome back.
