Hi, I am slated to have surgery in two weeks for scar tissue build up in a stricture (upper rectum/low colon). I've recently been exposed to an alternative idea: visceral manipulation to help vascularize some of the scar tissue/heal...possibly postponing surgery or not having it at all. I know this might sound a bit out there but I am trying to find ANYONE, literally anyone, that has had experience with these alternative techniques. It's hard for me to wrap my head around but I want to believe that surgery is not my only option at this point (I have had two small bowel resections, both over a decade ago).

If you have a story, please let me know!

Sorry, have never heard of that so can't help but do hope some else has as it sounds interesting!

Hi and welcome.

I've not heard of that until you mentioned it.
With all my surgeries I've felt with lots of scar tissue.
Do you know specifically how it works?

Add: given the nature of scar tissue I'm a bit sceptical about its effectiveness...but I'm certainly no expert.

Sending you my support.
