I just bought some Vitamin C and some Vitamin B-12, cant really tell a difference yet, but the B-12 has 3,333%of a daily value in it, so I only take it like 2 a week instead of daily like thye say, and I think they ssay more then once.

The vitamin C is just one pill once a day, and is supposed to boost your immune system? Its the nature made brand, my mom gets them for free, she's a sales representative working for a broker. Its 500mg and 833% of your daily value....are these outrageous over valued vitamins? is it just like pee-ing out the excess? I know my body isnt obsorbing the entire benefits of the vitamin.

And could it be harmful to absorb TO much?

Is it true that the sunlight will give you natural Vitamin D which in turn will help you absorb calcium better?
 
If you go outside for fifteen minutes without sunglasses on, which you should have on for the rest of the time, and you will have your daily sourde of vitamin D.

I think you just pee out the rest of the vitamins that you can't absorb.
 
Their a couple of different kinds of Vitamen D.... D2 is found in most pills and calcium products... It is water soluable and MUST be converted by the liver into D3... Your liver only does the conversion process when you have enough Vitamen D2 their and you go out in the sun for about 15 min.... D3 is the vitamen your body uses... It is found added to milk and some calcium products.... You can get too much D3 in your body since it is a fat soluable compound so excess levels can build up... That's why you want to only get in some D3 from foods and pills and get the rest of your Vitamen D3 from your liver converting D2 to D3 but again you have to go out in the sun for around 15 min for that to happen...

Also on the B-Vitamens just get a multi-vitamen that is TIMED RELEASED if it is a tablet and you should be good on those... Other wise get a capsule, softgel, liquid, or chewable... And Excess B vitimens (since they are water soluable vitamens) just get peed out.... That's why your pee will be much more yellow is due to the B vitamen Riboflavin and your body flushing out excess amounts of that....

Also on the Vitaman C.... I would get a timed Released Ester C just to make sure it is easier on your stomach... Whenever you esterfy a molucule (your body does this to some things naturally) it absorbs into the cells like a fat... normal Vitamen C absorbs like a water soluable vitamen and also getting to much vitaman c at once will have a laxative effect... that's another reason I recommend getting in the vitaman C as timed released.... And yes you can get Timed Released Ester C pills/tablets...
 
Also on the B vitamans if it is a pill your only absorbring 1-3% of that dosage if it goes to absorb through the stomach and small intestines... And even less of that dosage depending on what kind of surgeries you have had... I would take a liquid B complex that you squirt under your tongue or a sublingual b-12 pill.... Both are absorbed through the mouth and into the blood stream... so Instead of getting 1-3% you will get more along the lines of 80%.... BUT EXCESS B vitamen levels will only stay in your body for a few hours.... So you will take it get some energy in about 5-15 min and that energy will last 4-6 hours so long as you have the calories in your body to make you go.... Feeding your body any kind of stimulant even if it is natural and safe is not a good idea unless you have the nutrients in your body to sustain you at that energy level or else your gonna burn yourself out and feel sick... So make sure you eat cause if you don't your gonna crash...
 
The liquid B-12 that goes under your tongue, can you get this from GNC? or The Vitamin Shoppe?

The vitamin C or b-12 isnt hard on my stomach. and I've never had any upper surgeries, only my colon and terminal illieum, which is where b-12 is absorbed but. idk. Thanks for the advice.
 
yupo it's called Sublingual B-12 if it is the pill that disolves under the tongue and Liquid B-12 for the liquid kind in the dropper you just squirt under the tongue...

The GNC Sublingual B-12 also has 400 mcg of folic acid in it where as the dropper one is just straight B-12 or you can get the B-Complex that is liquid that just as a few more B-Vitamens in it... Not much but a little... I have no clue how expensive Vitamen shop is but here are the links for the items I was talking about it list price/name/everything... And that price is the same price it will be in the store minus sales tax of course..
