had a colonoscopy thursday, i think it's around 7 total now?, and I have two weeks to wait for the results. This whole waiting two weeks blows. Why can't they just rush the results a little bit. **** waiting, lol. wish me luck

The GI specialist doing the colonoscopy should have at least talked to you after the scope
With some preliminary results...even if they need to wait for the lab results themselves.
The lab procedures for biopsies can be quite lengthy and sometimes a second opinion may be required by the pathologist.
The tissue procedures by the lab usually take a week to ten days sometimes a bit longer to process from start to finish.
It is a very anxious time for you and I am sorry that your specialist did not have an adequate discussion with you after the scope.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

I agree

if there are significant findings your dr will know much sooner than 10 days.

I worked for a GI and results can be called into the Dr rather quickly. For a biopsy they are
really just looking at tissue on a glass slide.

Good luck and I hope everything works out well- and for all of us that can mean different things. For me its that my Dr stops hassling me and just treats the symptoms and learns to
trust me and what I am feeling!
