Hi all, so Ive been on the SCD diet for about a week. Note the book hasnt come in the mail yet, im just not eating the "illegal foods" and sticking to only the legal foods.

I have crohns, all my BM were watery and i had several a day, now for the first time Ive been having consistant BM that are not watery, they look soft and are not of a healthy persons, but this shows progress.

Only problem is now I dont go as often I think i go once every 2 days, but this is a new battle to face! No more watery stool at least :)

Just wanted to add more posts on scd for those out there searching

Just because i all the foods are 'legal' doesn't mean it is a balanced diet.
Too much almond flour is a bad thing.......
Are you eating enough good fat (saturated fat, never processed vegetable oils)

"soft and not of a healthy person",
well, that's gotta be better than watery
Where do the poos fall on the bristol stool chart?

the stools look hard, no more diarrhea, im mainly eating lots of veggies, (red green orange yello bell pepers, onions, tomoatoes, mushrooms, lettus) and chicen breats, still waiting for my yougurt maker to come in to make the home made yougrt

sounds like progress,
keep in mind the yogurt is not good for everyone, there are other (non dairy) probiotic foods.....
try google

but isnt the scd non diary already since the lactose gets evaporated? Also i had a glass of milk yesterday nothing seems to have happend..... Ill need to do more testing.

Many people can't digest lactose.
When making SCD yogurt the lactose is supposed to be eaten by the bacteria but usually it is not 100% eaten.
The only way to know if you tolerate it is to not have any for a couple of weeks and then try some.
Don't go too far from a toilet when you do this. You may be fine, you may not,

If stools get too hard, try a tablespoon (or more) of coconut oil a day
