I am currently surving in the US Army, and have been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease about 5 months ago. I have been prescribed Apriso and Budesonide in hopes to help with my symptoms, to no avail.

I will be starting Remicade in about a week now, and have been told by my leadership that I would be recommended to be transferred to a Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) to help with my treatment plan.

I have concerns, as I have heard some bad things about these units and that they are just a way to get non-deployable soldiers of a company's books

I was hoping to get the opinion of some current or former service members regarding their treatment for Crohn's and their opinion on WTUs.

Thank you.

I can't comment on this exactly, but when I told a recruiter I had crohn's he immediately ended the phone call and told me basically that they don't want me.

An SCD/low-FODMAP diet may be worth investigating. In my experience, diet is huge in Crohn's.
