I have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease for 4 years now (diagnosed at 17) and have been on prednisone on and off for 3 years. I have been in remission for the past 2 years after a resection and humira weekly. I started my journey at 120lbs and am now close to 170lbs. The more I work out the more I seem to gain? Anyone other Crohn's patients experience this or am I the only Crohn's patient that needs to lose weight?

Hi! No, you are definitely not alone. I started my crohns journey at 160 lbs, lost 50 lbs in a flare, now I am currently 185lb, I am losing weight now, in a healthy way. I found that I gained weight for a few reasons, prednisone on and off over time, no exercise, and high carb diet. So, I am currently in remission, so I am trying to get to a healthy weight. I have lost about 10 lbs so fat, I have added exercise in my day, I have cut back on some carbs and eating healthier portions. I also started juicing. It's not easy, but it's possible.

Nope, not alone. My case is mild, but it also seems to react with gynecological problems. I gained 25 lbs when I went on the pill to stop ovulation, and have not been able to lose it in 2 full years.
