what can stop the main?

:voodoo: Dear colleagues
I woke at up at 3 o’clock with severe pain took all the right abdomen side with the back until the right knee. My doctor adds pentasa till 8 tablets. He told me that my that my bone pain is due to my Chronis. What can help to stop this pain until the pentasa works properly?

Pentasa is an anti-inflammatory. It will reduce pain overall in the G/I system, but it is not best suited for the extreme pains you describe. At least, my form of 5-ASA never worked that way for me. I think most others here who use 5-ASA will agree with me, but that's just an assumption. For me, the only thing that worked on extreme pains was some form of dedicated pain meds.. I just tried to avoid those containing any codeine. And if taking 5-ASA, I believe you should avoid using any regular ASA. OK?

what about pandol

Hanna al baydany,

Panadol is a brand name for paracetamol here in the UK. What about it? lol It may help relieve your pain to some extent and it is better to start with lower level painkillers like paracetamol first.

Talk to your doctor would be my suggestion and see what they can come with as to what is best for you.

Hope you feel better soon.

Panadol is OK for mild pain, but for severe pain I suggest you ask you doctor....

Yes I agree totally.. All of the non prescription pain killers I tried were useless. See a doctor. now, for my back pain, doctors and their prescription drugs were never of much use. When I tried a chiropractor (for non IBD back pain) I got immediate relief. If you think your back pain is not related to your disease, might be worth a try. My chiro was even able to help me relieve the pain from my Imuran allergy..
