What could this be?

I noticed that whenever I am gassy and have a BM the toilet fills with blood and even after my BM I am sitting on the loo and the blood drips out. My GI said I have an external fissure which I very much doubt as I have no pain during BM's. I do get itchy at times and I used GTN ointment for 1 week as he prescribed but still I have blood from time to time.

I am wondering if this could be a haemorroid? Any thoughts please?

I have had this occasionally. It could be a number of things so worth getting it checked out. Hopefully it is just a hemorrhoid or scar tissue that just needs a topical ointment but it may be more serious if your also experiencing other symptoms. It's not very pleasant all the same.
Hope you get it sorted out. Others will be along soon to offer some advice I'm sure.
