what day Anser ADA test shuld be done

what days Anser ADA test shuld be done after you start Humira? I am littel unclear here. The doctor said originally shuld be before 4th dose, but can be also in my case before 3rd dose because I have trip planned in week 4th. Now she was not clear if that shuld be the day before the Humira shot or if this can be done 2-3 days before the 3rd shot. I called Prometheus and they said the weekends are hard to schedule so then if my daughter 3rd shot fall for Monday there is almost no chance to schedule someone to do blood work for sunday.

I don't know the answer to the 3rd dose vs. 4th dose question. It may depend on what your doc is looking for. But in general drug/anti-drug tests should be done at "trough" levels (as opposed to peak levels) - meaning just before the next dose. So I would have the blood drawn on the same day as the drug dose. But just make sure the blood is drawn before the drug dose is injected. If the same day is not possible then the day before the dose would be next best.

The earlier and earlier the blood draw is before the next dose, the further away from trough it gets and hence is a less accurate snapshot of what is going on. Thus, 2 or 3 days before the dose are less accurate and not a good idea if you can manage to get the blood drawn later, closer to trough.

Also, assuming the blood specimens will be stored properly, the drug and anti-drug levels are reasonably stable and do not need to be tested the same day as drawn. A day or two later should still be fine.
