what do you miss most?

Pomegranates are one of my Fave. seasonal fruits, i usually eat one a day at this time of year. every time i go to the store i see them, and am tempted, but know it won't be worth it.

What food do you miss most, that you're not willing to risk the pain for?

I really miss salads.........I still eat them, but I would eat them more often if they weren't such a pain to digest.

I love pomegranates too! I can actually still eat them occasionally, just have to be really careful not to swallow the seeds.

I think the food I miss most is Pizza... too greasy and makes me really sick anymore.

I miss dairy of all kinds. That is the food part.

I do miss being able to go on trips and not having to think even once about where a bathroom is. That has always been a rare thing for me to begin with - but I do remember being able to do it a points in my life and miss it.

I miss tomatoes, peppers and basically anything raw.

I also miss being able to eat a big meal as too much at once causes problems.

I miss coffee (decided to stop it) and I miss not feeling like I am focusing on my bowel activity on a constant basis!

Oh, like Shaz I also miss my coffee... I still drink it occasionally but if I get a double-shot at Starbucks I feel like someone shot me in the gut! So no more strong espresso for me... :-(

I miss big rare steaks! I would eat it, but I no better. I used to be able to sit down to a 2 or 3 pounder, that's still nice and bright red in the middle with a lot of meat juice ready to be soaked up with a hard crusty bread. Gawd, I miss steak.

I miss food. Real food. Anything that I can't have. Salads, pizza, CHILI, ice cream, veggies, fried ham, peanuts, everything.

I'm so tired of watching other eat what ever they want and than offer something to me I can't have. I'm tired of the fact that because of me Janis won't cook things that bother me and she feels she has to just for me.

I'm tired of it all. The pain, the tests, the looks, the way others tiptoe around me because "I have CD". The way others think they are being kind by telling ME what I shouldn't and should eat. I'm tired of people telling me I should try this type of med or that type of home remedy.

I'm tired of not being able to give Janis the real me. I'm tired of not being able to give her everything I want to give her.

I'm just plain tired. Just plain tired.

Ooh, maybe i should try just biting the juice, then spitting out the seeds....
DO IT!! I JUST had pom seeds today! I ate them by the handful, squooshed them up, then spit the seeds out. It's not the cutest thing to do, but it's kinda fun and yummy!

Anybody who misses pizza, you can make your own pizza with whatever your body will tolerate and as long as it comes out crispy, it's good! We make our own pizza every other week.

I do not drink Milk, so I also gave up cereal at the same time.

After thinking about it for a while, I figured Cereal and Milk are probably the worst food on the planet for anyone. Talk about feeding bad bacteria, I can't think of a more sure way to do that.

I miss that sugary sweet taste.

Tomato Basil soup. I'd get it from a local restaurant frequently and it took me a good five times of eating it after I got sick before I realized it was going to be the death of me. :(

Honestly... I miss not worrying about sickness. I miss being carefree. I miss being like everyone else who didn't have to plan and can have their dreams at their fingertips if they just try. My dreams are health dependent and I hate it.

I'll second this.

I'll third it!
