What does mucus in the stool look like?

I've never really been sure what mucus in the stool is... Like what exactly does it look like? Because I think, from reading what other people say, I sometimes have mucus, but I'm not sure...

Alright, then I definitely have mucus! lol

Sometimes (especially lately) I have to go poop, but don't really make any poop... Just a tiny little bit of white/orange stuff. It looks like the consistency of poop, just a really odd color. Any clue what that is?

It sounds like mucus. I often would have a pressure feeling or the urge to go to the bathroom, but I would just pass mucus, no stool. If this is new for you, I would contact your GI.

Yeah that's exactly what happens to me sometimes. My body just can't make up its mind lol I'm on prednisone, which always makes me constipated. So I take miralax and colace, but it doesn't make me quite regular. Some days don't go at all, other days I go a LOT lol. Never diarrhea luckily, just lots quantity wise lol. And then sometimes it's just mucus. But definitely better than constant diarrhea!
