So a few days ago I finally got around to googling the new meds I was prescribed middle december. And Medrol, it turns out, is methyl-prednisolone.

As I was reading the info I was like WHATTTTTTTT??? Now everything makes sense!!!

I have the worst cravings for anything I can get my hands on! LOL!!!!
I'm totally moody!!!
I'm retaining water!!!!

But now, i've been on it for 2 months, shouldnt I start lowering my dosage sometime soon??? Or doesnt it work that way for medrol?

Is anyone else on it?? I would really appreciate if I can hear from someone who has experienced medrol in ALL its glory...

thx!!!!!

I was on Medrol at the beginning of 2010 but it was a dose pack and was done relatively quickly. I didn't have any major side effects. Sorry.:( Pred sucks, in any form!

Aaaack! What a shocker! But, is it making you feel better??

I would assume that you would need to taper, just like any other form of steroids. Do some more googling and see what you can find out!

I didn't know there was another type of prednesone. I wonder what the difference is...? Have you taken both? Do you feel different? Hoepfully it is working for you at least.

Yeah...the food cravings are bad. I can't wait to get off of pred. tapering now.

Sometimes it's just automatic pilot to eat. I'm trying to drink a lot of fluids to knock down the intense hunger. Not entirely successful.

Yes it is working quite well, thats a bonus at least. Don't know if it's that or the azapress, but its a nice combo of meds for me. Googling didnt bring forward much info-well, not the info i'm really looking for.

no, i've never been on regular pred, i've only ever been on entocort, sulphasalazine and now my current meds.

I drink A LOT of fluids, also for the sole purpose of knocking down my hunger but also to no avail.... Guess my only option is to suck it up and stop complaining!!lol!!!
